Dallas, August 30, 2017– Sekisui Specialty Chemicals would like to confirm that all of our employees are safe, and both of our Houston area facilities are undamaged as of August 30th. Our Pasadena plant was shut down on August 26th. Production will be temporarily halted as we evaluate the safety of our facilities after the storm and subsequent flooding. A hurricane ready crew of employees is currently on site monitoring conditions at the plant.
Sekisui will continue to supply customers from our Calvert City manufacturing facilities until the Pasadena plant has returned to full production scale. Customers should contact their local Sekisui sales representative for details on any supply impacts.
We are fully cooperating with emergency response teams and local authorities to assist in the region’s recovery process. We appreciate the efforts of Houston’s first responders over the past few days, and our thoughts are with affected community members across South Texas.
